Atelier / From design to evidence

The next work
is physical.

DEV-0.3.3 brings the digital project to one development baseline. It does not substitute for a material specimen, a measured movement or an assembled case.

01 / Material

Make the specimen.

Establish the actual composition and study machining, finishing and corrosion. AETERNA 928 is a nominal target until a material lot is assayed and tested.

Awaiting physical qualification

02 / Movement

Measure the donor.

Identify the actual calibre. Check its holder, stem, dial feet and hand stack before interpreting a reference envelope as a working fit.

Donor unverified

03 / Construction

Build the interfaces.

Trial the case, lugs, crown and crystal together. Strength, sealing, assembly and serviceability have to survive the move from geometry to parts.

Assembly evidence required

04 / Finish

Inspect the surface.

Examine edges, ribs, setting and applied lettering as physical work. The aspiration for close inspection is a test to be earned, not a performance already achieved.

No production approval

Precision is an obligation
to the next person making it.

The next conversations belong with a qualified watchmaker, case constructor, dial specialist and materials laboratory, using the same controlled development record.
